Survive the Ride – Free Motorcycle Safety Workshop

During Motorcycle Awareness Month Council is hosting a free motorcycle safety workshop.
Presenters from Survive the Ride will be facilitating a session on Thursday 5th October from 6pm-8pm at Wauchope Rotary Youth Hall.
Whether you are an experienced motorcycle rider, returning rider or new to the game, come along and hear from the experts, get some great tips and have your questions answered. “Our workshop is unique in that we use positive messaging to assist riders reflect on their current riding performance. Several studies show that riders and drivers are on “auto-pilot” approximately 40-50% of the time when riding. During these times, the rider’s habits dictate their decisions and affect their ability to both anticipate and respond to hazards. We discuss easy ways to adopt new habits to reduce the number of surprises on the road and increase their enjoyment.” – Survive the Ride Association of NSW
The workshop will cover:
• Key decisions for managing cornering, riding in groups/traffic
• Managing stressful situations
• How to connect properly with your machine – cruisers, sports, scooter etc
• Recognising and avoiding mistakes
The aim is to improve skills, increase smiles and reduces surprises on the road.
Visit Survive the Ride for more information about the workshop.
