Dogs Out and About – penalties, fines and contacting Council

Some great tips on responsible dog ownership, discussing how to keep your dog safe and avoid any issues with other dogs, native animals and people the community when out and about.

Preventing issues is always best.  The best way to avoid issues or fines, is to keep your dog under control.

Some of the best ways to do this include:

1.  Keep your dog on a leash.

2. Engage with a trainer to learn how to have control of your dog.  

3. Introduce your dog to others slowly.

Always stay on the side of caution and stick to the rules and guidelines to help keep the dogs, our native animals and people safe.
