2 in 3 car seats are not used properly!

A child who is properly secured in an approved child car seat is less likely to be injured or killed in a car crash than one who is not.  It is important that all children be safely fastened in the correct child car seat for their age and size.

Port Macquarie Hastings Council is providing FREE child restraint fitting and safety checking on the 9th and 10th of April 2024.  Funded by Transport for NSW, this event will be run with Authorised Safety Restraint Fitters.  These fitters are part of a specialist network and have been trained to fit, inspect and adjust child car seats to make sure they are installed correctly for each vehicle. They can also show you the correct way to use your child car seat so you can be confident your child is safe.
