This adventure calls on our Little Legends to become citizen scientists, learning to use the CoastSnap app, to help scientist and our Council monitor and take care of our coastline. The amount of sand on our beaches is always changing. Big waves and wind can wash the sand out to sea. Scientists collect data about our beaches to help spot any changes over time and understand how we can best look after our coastline. In this episode, our Little Legends head out with our Adventure Guide, Jenna, to the beach in Lake Cathie. They’ll meet up with our Natural Resources Manager knowledge wizard, Ben Foster, to learn how we can all join in and become citizen scientists, helping to collect valuable data which will be used to plan and protect our coastlines! In this adventure, we head out to Kooloonbung Creek where the flying foxes have set up camp, and chat with our knowledge wizard, Byron, to learn all about these amazing furry friends.

In this episode, we head out with our Little Legends to play ‘nature spotto ‘and take a walk along some of our local pathways to enjoy our beautiful environment. We’ll meet up with our knowledge expert, Matt, who’ll talk to us about why it’s important to appreciate what we spot in nature, but leave it as we find it, and why to stick to pathways already made and not go making our own. Let’s go spotto!
