Take your bottle with you

Tap water is the best choice for your health, the environment and your hip pocket.

Did you know…

  • Australians spend more than $736 million a year on bottled water.
  • More than 40% of plastic bottles end up as landfill or litter.
  • It takes between 3-7 litres of water and one litre of oil to produce one litre of  bottled water.
  • Over 90% of the cost of a bottle of water is for the bottle, lid or label.
  • 1000 litres of tap water is around the same price as one litre of bottled water!

With many water refill stations installed in parks, public spaces and walking
tracks across the Hastings, it is now getting easier to refill your water bottle,
supporting the move away from buying bottled water and providing residents and
visitors alike the opportunity to access free drinking water where they need it most.
