How to Check Your Water Meter

Knowing how to check your water meter not only helps you check and compare your water charges, but is a great way to monitor and work to reduce your water use.

You can check if you have a leak by recording your meter reading before you go to sleep and comparing it to the reading first thing in the morning (provided you haven’t used water overnight). You can also set a household challenge to implement water saving habits, then check your meter at the same time each week over the period of a month to see if you’ve saved water.
